Upcycling

In the spirit of new year & because of not drooling over my yarn stash for over a month (as a result of my India trip), I did a yarn inventory a couple of weeks ago. I managed to match patterns & yarn to make in the coming weeks. I also found a few finished projects which were my first projects after learning to crochet. They didn’t look very pretty. So, I upcycled/frogged (ripped off  yarn) the projects and ended up with huge balls of yarn.

The lavender, black yarns are super bulky & the blue is aran weight. I already started working with the blue yarn. I am so happy with the current pattern – it results in a unique design on both sides. I’ll show you as soon as I am done!

As for the lavender and black yarns, I am thinking of using them together to get stripes. What do you think? Any suggestions & patterns are welcome.

As I matched patterns with yarns, I made a rather drastic decision –

I will use up ALL the yarn in my stash* by the end of this year!

*(not counting this year’s purchases)
